I'm a Product Designer with a focus on User Interface Design based in Germany, where I relocated from the San Francisco Bay Area.
I put great emphasis on recognizing users' pain points and needs, breaking them down to identify problems and then approach them with considering both users' perspective and metrics. I believe these are the key steps in producing an elegant, user-centered, holistic and empathetic design.
I thrive amidst ambition, creative passion, and curiosity. I seek teams where we can together create meaningful impact on people's lives.
Before starting my career as a designer, I got my Master's Degree in English Language and Literature and Swedish Language and Culture. I have always enjoyed finding pain points and problems in communication due to linguistic and cultural differences and translating them to bridge the gap between people and cultures. This made me aware of how important diversity is and that we always have to be aware of such differences and embrace them, but also make the information and the interface accessible and understandable for all groups.
After working in a translation agency for a while, I felt my creative energy wasn't used in a good way and decided to go back to school to study about my other passion - design. I studied User Experience & Web Design at the University of California Santa Cruz, after which I have relocated back to Europe to start working full-time as a UI/UX Designer.
As a designer, I try to create meaningful user experiences and interfaces by breaking down the overall goal into subgoals and objectives which each solve a particular pain point and need and can be measured with metrics, which helps us evaluate the usability of the product. I also take into account the needs of all stakeholders (both the users' and business needs) and consider them when creating the whole user experience. I believe that initial user research is the foundation for the wireframes and prototypes and put great emphasis on it. Other than individual research, I also like to focus on backing up decisions by qualitative and quantitative data.
Principles I follow:
Know your users | Consistency - don't reinvent the wheel | Iterate, Iterate, Iterate | Accessibility | Effectiveness
When not designing, I love to draw and manage my art Instagram account.
I also enjoy bike rides and exploring new places, pool days and anything nature and flowers related.
On the rainy days I like to sit down in front of a big puzzle, read a book, bake and watch Ghibli movies.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch or send me a cute animal video 🐶!
